Wayne P. Weiner President and Founder

After 30 years of experience with both large multinational corporations and startups, Wayne founded Pharmatech Solutions (PTS) in 2017 with the goal of providing extraordinary service and personalized attention to meet clients’ objectives.

Prior to founding PTS, he served as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development for Patheon (acquired in 2017 by Thermo Fisher Scientific), and DSM Pharmaceutical Products (“DPP,” a business unit of Royal DSM N.V.), both leading pharmaceutical CDMOs of their time. During this period Wayne played a key role in multiple strategic initiatives and acquisitions, including the landmark merger of DPP with Patheon in 2014 to form the industry’s most comprehensive integrated service provider.

He also served as Vice President Sales and Marketing for DPP’s North American API CDMO business, and for Synthon Chiragenics Corporation, a leading supplier of specialized pharmaceutical intermediates. In each of these assignments Wayne achieved success through the implementation of strategic, customer-focused sales initiatives.

While his entire career has been in commercial functions, Wayne was trained as an organic chemist. He was the proud recipient of an American Cancer Society post-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University (New York), and earned a Ph.D. and B.Sc. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and Los Angeles, respectively, the latter including studies at Georg-August University, Goettingen, Germany.

Wayne is an active member of BioNJ, Life Sciences PA Pennsylvania, and the Licensing Executive Society, among other industry organizations.
